To the person who posted comment #21969, I am Judge Rainey’s son, Jake. I assure you no one in my family thinks anything other than great things about our father. He is a man of exceptional character whom I love very much. I think of him as fair and honest. He always taught us to do the right thing. Clearly, your comments are emotional ones as I don’t think the word TREASONOUS (or its opposite) is a word many sons or daughters would use to describe a parent. I’m sorry things did not work out for you but I did want to set the record straight about your comment towards him as a parent. And the record is that you couldn’t be more wrong.

Senior Judge Rainey OVERRULLED by 5th circuit on MAJOR EPA Environmental case: The case is United States of America v. Citgo Petroleum Corp. et al., case number 2:06-cr-00563, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. 5th cir No. 14-40128. Scathing reversal that said Judge Rainey failed to read and interpret the law as written as to what is an oil-water seperator and was constitutes a "taking".

Today at my NEW BLOG, MANDAMUS: Void Orders/Judgments, I published a new post: Mr. Rainey: Why did you sit on my TRO Motions for 11.5 months without taking any actions while others were issued in an hour with a phone call or in one day? He seems to be trying to block my publication. If you have problem finding this NEW BLOG, please go to my OLD BLOG, which started on 4/12/2012: ricofraudonthecourt.com. Out of the 450+ articles, many are related to this judge. At the end of my new post, I wrote: Mr. Rainey: When your children think of you, I think, they will think of unfairness and the opposite of integrity, deceit, dishonesty, corruption, dishonor, TREASON! I completely agree with the commenters of Comment #: 20631, Comment #: 18544 & Comment #: 13308!

Stood in front of the judge and takes cases personally: manifest injustice experienced from his erroneous, malicious rulings which were in violation of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, various Federal Statutes, and the First and Fifth Amendments to the United State Constitution. Specifically, the litigants were deprived of their constitutionally protected rights to access the court for redress of grievances, due process, equal protection, among others. I agree he is tired of his job, and it shows but I ask should the public pay for that. I just ask be fair to the people that look up to the position you have as the judge which should follow the law just as any law abiding citizen.

Excellent judge. I have been in front of him a decade. With all due respect to the "manifest injustice" commentator, I have never seen him be more than a perfect gentleman. Every experienced lawyer in his courtroom knows he gives your clients low to mid range unless there is something egregious. A pleasure to try a case in front of and an absolutely fair judge in his rollings. Top marks. No BS.

Biased, prejudiced, inexcusable delays, unfair, unjust, unconscionable, ignorant of or indifferent to litigants' constitutional rights. The worst judge I have ever encountered in my life!

In the courtroom, he is still the best of the best, but behind the scene, he is harried, late, and now very grouchy and temperamental, often complaining that the parties are presenting him issues that he must decide. In his first ten years on the federal bench, he never was testy or personal in his orders, but now he is catty and small minded in his orders, and he does this to both plaintiff's and defense lawyers. One prominent defense lawyer put it bluntly: he is tired of his job, and it shows. Of course, Rainey on his worst day is better than Harmon her best.

While he is probably somewhat pro-government, he is generally as fair to the defense as any Federal Judge I've appeared before. What sets him apart is his judicial demeanor-probably the best I've ever seen in any courtroom.
