A smart and hardworking judge, who hasn't lost her compassion for people appearing in her court. She has shown she is willing to do the right thing, even if it is unpopular.
More than any judge in the El Paso Division, she truly wrestles with doing what is right and just. The only criticism is that she sometimes defers too much to her clerks. Overall, she has a lot of integrity!
she spent an entire day working to get a messy civil rights case resolved. went above and beyond the call of duty. her prior experience was pretty much limited to family law but she has grown on the bench.
Judge Cardone has her own rules of procedure on a number of matters. It defeats the uniformity of the FRCP to have to learn seperate rules for every court.
A very approachable judge.
