A right-wing zealot. How he got this job is a mystery.
When it comes to releasing those already to be released except for his signing the paperwork, he cares less about how long they were in prison (or they end up dead) before he signs their release, even after the government and state courts have requested their release. I wonder how he would feel if it was him waiting?
What a terrible judge. He has locked ordinary people out of the courthouse. If you're a corporation, "you" will be very pleased.
This judge has a habit of dismissing civil cases against large corporations without even allowing a hearing. Biased against consumers.
Judge Reidinger was a civil practitioner before taking the bench. He had no experience in criminal cases. However, he has learned quickly and he tries very hard to follow the law. His political background let many attorneys to fear that he would be very conservative -- i.e. "law and order" -- on the bench but he has been very fair to both sides. He just follows the law. It is that simple. Very refreshing, although the WDNC has a history of such judges.
