Peevish, which can cause him to be insulting and petty. Not overly intelligent and frequently reversed. Extremely slow on most matters, causing a long backlog of motions and undecided matters that date well beyond six months and can even stretch to years. Politically friendly to Republican Party in cases that impact it and its elected officials.
Judge Watson, very new Federal Judge from Ohio common pleas. seems to very much care about the defendant as a human. In the appropriate case, willing to deviate from guidelines and sentencing reccommendations to fashion a sentence he believes fair to defendant, which will give Defendant a chance to succed after the case. Very deliberate and thoughtful in his decision making.
Judge Watson is extremely thoughtful. So much so, he comes to a sentencing hearing with an open mind. He has changed hs opinion on sentencing while in a hearing. He seems generally interested in getting things right. So much so, it will slow down a docket more than necessary.
