Robert M. Levy

I only wish that every case of mine was assigned to Magistrate Judge Levy. Both he and his staff are a pleasure to deal with. He has no airs about him and always works with the parties to get things done. New magistrates should have to shadow him for a time to see how an effective Magistrate operates.

Recently had two fairly lengthy settlement conferences in front of Judge Levy that concluded successfully with a settlement. He is everything you want in a judge -- smart (very), patient, a good listener, neutral, and without any agenda other than to help the parties settle, if possible. We are extremely fortunate to have him in the EDNY.
