Superbly intelligent judge. However, litigants feel he uses his intellect for a certain agenda. However, litigants can predict these results and plan accordingly and when there is no definite right answer, Judge Pratt gives an intellectually rigorous explanation.
A judicial hack for every traditional liberal cause imaginable who complains while marching on his crusade.
Post 3890 apparently wishes that more conservative campaign contributors had been appointed. It's nice to have a judge that actually cares about the Constitution, and is not simply a loyal Republican hack. The other comments more accurately reflect Judge Pratt's intellect, fairness, and passion.
A good judge. Works hard and is fair.
Very very preachy for a former social security lawyer.
He does not suffer fools gladly but is a superior judge, works hard, writes well, and attempts at every stage to be fair.
Is not pro prosecution - not a puppet for the gov like some federal judges.
Very good judge. Quite bright and is extremely fair. Doesn't play favorites or cow tow to large firms or lawyers with hot shot reputations. Isn't afraid to do the right thing even when it's not popular. Understands the importance of an independant federal judiciary. A little preachy at times.
Judge Pratt came from a narrow background in private practice but has blossomed as a judge because he is so smart and hardworking. He always tries hard to do justice. A real intellect.
Very smart and quick to let you know that. Unpredictable. Opinions show lot's of effeort and good scholarship.
Very smart judge - a little odd.
