Her apparent defense bias notwithstanding, she is the best judge in this district by far.

There are a lot of great judges on EDLA, and Judge Vance is the star. I have seen the guy who posted below constantly post on any remotely related blog about Judge Vance. The guy is clearly some disgruntled litigant. Who posts about someone else's child? Guy has no shame. Judge Vance is wonderful, very hardworking and obviously tries to be fair.

After the first case before this judge, I was disappointed -- but after the next case I was very impressed. She tries to do the right thing. Very smart. Her pre-trial comments went a long way in settling the case. I gained a lot of respect for her from the first trial to the last case.

Plaintiffs beware. Judge Vance has not met a corporate defendant she is unwilling to protect. Making her all the more dangerous to the notion of fairness is the fact that she is both industrious and smart, so when she finds a way to dismiss you, it will probably stick on appeal.
