A great judge who rules according to law and not politics or fear. I'm sure the cowards have and will continue to threaten her and her family as they do whenever they don't get their way, but, she continues to follow the law. I commend her for her bravery.
Chutkan, Ahh! Another Obama appointment blocking Trump's order to stop the EPA climate change efforts. She along with every other judge that is blocking Trump's orders at every turn should be audited/investigated. [Redacted by Ed.]

Judge Chutkan is a disgrace to the bench and the legal profession. Highly biased (a BHO appointee) go figure. A gag order, really? Judge, ever hear of the 1st Amendment? Of course leftists/marxists don't care about the Constitution, especially when it applies to people you don't like. All of the cases against Trump are flimsy and lacking sufficient merit.
Not a fair Judge at all. She has made political comments about the 1/6 defendants multiple times, while excusing all the violence committed by her side during the riots that saw dozens killed and federal buildings, courthouse's, police stations destroyed. This is why the majority of the country has no faith in the Judiciary. She needs to recuse herself from the Trump case immediately. Her bias is stunning.
I object to the last poster calling Judge Chutkan a marxist. Just b/c you don't think sh'e going to rule your way in a pending litigaiotn is no reason to attack her charachter or ability. Judge Tanya Chutkan was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in June 2014. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she received her B.A. in Economics from George Washington University and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was an Associate Editor of the Law Review and a Legal Writing Fellow. After law school, she worked in private practice for three years, then joined the District of Columbia Public Defender Service (“PDS”), where she worked as a trial attorney and supervisor. During her tenure at PDS, she argued several appellate cases and tried over 30 cases, including numerous serious felony matters. Eleven years later, she left PDS to join Boies, Schiller, & Flexner LLP, where she specialized in litigation and white collar criminal defense. During her 12 years at the firm, her clients included antitrust class action plaintiffs, as well as individual and corporate defendants involved in complex state and federal litigation. From 1996 – 2000 Judge Chutkan was a member of the Steering Committee for the Criminal Law and Individual Rights Section of the District of Columbia Bar. She is a frequent lecturer on trial techniques and she has served as a faculty member at the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop.
Judge Chutkan should recuse herself from the Donald Trump case. She was of council at the same law firm where Hunter Biden was. She represented Burisma, Fusion GPS, was involved to some degree in Russiagate. She is a leftist, marxist appointed by Barak Obama.
Whenever I'm sad, I remember Judge Tanya Chutkan exists and my mental breakdown is subsequently delayed. I'm here for her quips and jokes in court.
One case with her shortly after her appointment. Not super quick to rule on the merits but better than average for this district. Opinion well done on a pretty easy case. Did a great job moving things along on remedy and got a good resolution. Good demeanor.
She is slow to rule and often times incorrect.
