Judge Quarles retired on 02/01/2016 but his staff is lingering on to write opinions on newly filed motions. Then a new judge will be assigned. So if you had a case before Judge Quarles, be informed that the Clerk's Office is having his old staff write opinions before the new judge sees the filings.

He has already harmed my family from his biased and intentional misconduct but I must move on with my family always knowing this and other judges and defense counsel have and can get away with breaking the law everyday and I cannot ever do anything about it. I used to truly believe that we had a good court system in the USA but now I realize it is just like most third world courts and governments. That is a shame and I hope my posting pursuades anyone who maybe assigned to this judge to immediately request a different judge to get a fair ruling. Good luck to all who go before him, plaintiffs and plaintiff lawyers.

Not very bright and inclined to shoot from the hip -- a bad and dangerous combination!

His reputation for "efficient disposal" of so-called "meritless cases" leads to prejudice in favor of motions to dismiss. Also, he turns a blind eye to criminal acts by government agencies as necessary to justify dismissal of cases that should be heard instead.
