I thought Judge Kane was an honest,fair, bright person who gave plaintiffs their day in Court. Obviously I was incorrect.... This system is totally corrupt!

Judge Kane is in the group of judges in the Middle District who play politics to the extreme! She is totally out of control on how she approaches certain attorneys. It takes years before orders come down. She protects those in government.

I have appeared in front of Judge Kane many times in criminal matters and in a few civil matters and have always found her punctual, prepared, fair and polite even to some serious criminals. Her rulings have been fair and well reasoned. She obviously brings a lot of intellectual firepower to the job. I have received dozens of rulings from her over the years and would have to say every one of them was fair, just and well reasoned even though many of them went against me. The criticism of her punctuality is especially contradicted by my experience with her. I have appeared before her on dozens of occasions and she has always been on time. Her written orders and opinions are well reasoned and her scholarship very high. She is an excellent judge who rules justly and with terrific intellect and disposition.

I wanted to comment about Judge Kane because I have had the pleasure of appearing before her and have always found her so prepared and courteous each time. She allowed each side to argue their case and posed thoughful questions ultimately coming to very well reasoned and even-handed decisions. She is a wonderful Judge!

Judge Kane is a Judge who demonstrates fairness to the parties and attorneys. She has a great temperment and a commanding knowledge of the issues.I tried a civil case in front of her which was an involved case and she grasped the issues right away. She also worked hard to bring the parties to an amicable resolution after several days of trial. It is really a pleasure to try a case in front of her.

I recently had a hearing before Judge Kane in a significant civil case. She entered the courtroom late without any explanation and was totally unprepared. She had no familiarity with the facts or arguments contained in the motions and briefs. Every time a question or comment was made in court she looked to her clerk for the answer. Although my client prevailed in the matter, her written decision was woefully lacking in scholarship or analysis.
